The Peter Philipps Foundation
The Peter Philipps Foundation is a social impact foundation dedicated to fostering positive societal change. The Peter Philipps Foundation was established by the Airdri Group in memory of its founder, Oxford-based engineer and entrepreneur Peter Philipps.
The Peter Philipps Scholarship, the Department of Engineering Science, the University of Oxford.
This brand-new scholarship for a Postgraduate student will support a high achieving home student in their studies at Oxford.
The student will start their postgraduate study in September 2026. The Airdri Group team looks forward to supporting them, and learning from them and the Department.
This is a long-term investment – part of the Group’s commitments to UK engineering.
The Peter Philipps Foundation supports activities in x2 core areas: Education and Sustainability.
With a focus on supporting childhood literacy, the Foundation has a rolling programme of book donations.
The Foundation, supported by Airdri Group team members, has gifted new books to children in schools and community projects in Oxfordshire, UK and Chicago, USA, with plans to support local schemes in China and Malaysia.
Additionally, books have been provided to a project supporting women and children in Rwanda.
In 2026 – the Airdri Group is celebrating 40 years of partnership working between Airdri hand dryers and Bobrick – one of the world’s leading washroom and facilities companies. To mark this special transatlantic celebration, the Peter Philipps Foundation and the Group team is gifting new books to school children close to where Airdri was founded in Oxfordshire.
UN Global Compact on Sustainability
The Airdri Group has strengthened our commitment to responsible business practices by joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
The Group has pledged to align our operations and strategies with the UNGC’s Ten Principles covering human rights, labour standards, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption. The company states that sustainability is embedded throughout its business, from the development of energy-efficient, long-lasting products and transparent supply chains to its support for education and engineering skills development. The Airdri Group became an active UN Global Compact participant in September 2025, reinforcing our commitment to contributing to global sustainability goals and responsible manufacturing practices.
